Why I'm perfectly happy with the iPad 3

Today Apple released a new iPad (fourth generation), along with some Macs and an iPod Touch Jumbo iPad Mini. Those will be covered in other posts. The new 4th gen iPad made some people unhappy. Usually, Apple refreshes its iPad lineup around March. They did this year with the 3rd gen iPad (the one I own). All of a sudden, the schedule is thrown off. Now all the iPad 3s are obsolete 6 months before they should have planned to be! But here's why I don't care.
The iPad 4 has a better processor, an A6X up from the iPad 3's A5X. When the iPad 3 was debuted, the A5X was worshiped (bit extreme) as an incredible powerhouse. It still is. The screen, while still having the exact same dimensions (no new "Double Retina" or anything), is just a bit more saturated in the iPad 4. There wasn't any problem with the vividness of the colors in the iPad 3. The camera was updated. There isn't any reason you should be taking pictures with your iPad. And the real kicker, the Lightning connector. The iPad 3 isn't at all future-proof, but the market certainly is. Since time began, mobile Apple products had a large rectangular 30-pin connector. The iPad 3 has this 30-pin connector. Every accessory ever devised for mobile Apple products was built off the 30-pin. There will still be tons of accessories around that support it instead of/along with the new Lightning connector. Maybe in a year or 2, when Lightning becomes the new standard, will I decide to get some new devices. But as of now, I'm perfectly fine using all my "old" 30-pin accessories with my new iPad third generation.
